Nikola Jokic viewing experience similar to Michael Jordan or Prime LeBron, claims Colin Cowherd
Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

In game five against the Minnesota Timberwolves , Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets was the most impressive player. Jokic put on an MVP-caliber performance with his 40 points and 13 assists. Notably, his incredible performance won him all the accolades and admiration from the NBA community.

Many NBA analysts and presenters praised the Nuggets star for his performance in game 5. Notably, Colin Cowherd was one of them. Cowherd claimed in his “The Herd” show that Jokic is entering the elite company, putting him alongside the legends of the NBA, Michael Jordan and LeBron James .

That's how I felt watching MJ or LeBron in his prime. It's just different. Colin Cowherd on The Herd

Cowherd showed no hesitance while claiming Jokic entering the elite list after his recent performances. However, the claim made by Cowherd may somewhat be quite atrocious regarding the honors that Jordan and James have achieved in their career.

Although, with Jokic improving year by year he may not be too far from earning these shouts from the NBA community in general. On the sports side of things, Jokic will be focused on getting his side to the next round of the NBA playoffs against the Minnesota Timberwolves in game 6.

How Colin Cowherd bumped into the world’s best basketball player back in 2023

Colin Cowherd is often known for his controversial takes on the NBA and its stars. Notably, he is a long-standing admirer of Nikola Jokic, the Denver Nuggets star player.

Interestingly, back in 2023, spending most of his off-season in Serbia, Nikola Jokic was back in America. Surprisingly, he bumped into Colin Cowherd of The Herd who posted their picture with the caption “bumped into the world’s best basketball player” on X. The post garnered a lot of attention (1.5m views).

Any Jokic content, especially off-season content always does well on the internet. On the other hand, the Nuggets star has made a huge mark on the NBA this 2023-24 season and is single-handedly guiding his team to the next round of the playoffs against the Timberwolves, leading the current series 3-2.
